What ultimately sealed the deal for me was the option to add premium lens coatings, specifically a "Super Hydrophobic" treatment, which I hoped would solve my constant cleaning woes. The ordering process was straightforward, and soon enough, my order was placed. The waiting game began, filled with anticipation for my new, smudge-free vision in early 2025.
When the package arrived in early 2025, my excitement was palpable. The Cinily Eyewear box was sleek and secure, giving a nice premium feel right from the start. Inside, the Cinily Vintage Round Readers were nestled safely in a protective case, accompanied by a cleaning cloth. My first impression was overwhelmingly positive. The frames themselves were even more stunning in person than on the website. The leopard print was vibrant but not overwhelming, and the TR90 material felt incredibly lightweight yet durable. They slipped on effortlessly, fitting perfectly on my face without any uncomfortable pressure points. The overall aesthetic was exactly what I had hoped for – stylish, sophisticated, and distinctly me. I have asked for a replacement pair from Cinily Eyewear and am waiting for an answer. Even though they have what they call a 365 day warranty, they only offered me a 50% store credit if I choose to return the product. Clearly my issue is a defect yet I have to wait for a return email from their review team before I will know if they will honor the warranty. Through chat, I am told it will take 3 to 5 days to get the email. The last item that I find unsatisfactory is that it is not possible to speak to a live agent via phone. Per your request, The order number is Order #105180754. I love everything about the glasses and the service I received from Cinily Eyewear if only I could get them clean. My inability to render the glasses smudge-less is not a user issue as I have been wearing glasses for 60 of my neat 70 years. Additionally, it is clearly a personal preference of mine as show by my willingness to pay the extra amount for the treatment to ensure this wasn't an issue. As I told your chat agent Ben Harris, all I am seeking is a replacement pair of glasses with the Super Hydrophobic treatment applied correctly. If this could be accomplished, I would have resorted faith in Cinily Eyewear and would happily upgrade or rewrite my review." My experience precisely mirrored Carol's; the Super Hydrophobic coating, for which I also paid extra, seems to be counterproductive. Rather than repelling smudges, it feels like they cling to the lenses, making them incredibly difficult to wipe clean. Every touch, every speck of dust, turns into a stubborn smear that requires excessive rubbing with the provided cloth, often just redistributing the smudge rather than removing it. I’ve tried various cleaning methods, but nothing seems to work as effectively as it should, especially compared to other glasses I own. It’s incredibly frustrating to have such beautiful frames marred by a persistent inability to achieve clear vision.
